For centuries, artists have sought to produce portraits that get beyond "technique" and actually revel the inner essence of the person sitting or standing before them. Through years of thought and contemplation, and eventually quite by accident, the path to this private space was revealed to me. And fortunately, it is something that can be learned -- even by beginning photographers!
Starting on Wednesday, June 4th, and for the next four Wednesdays thereafter, we will conduct a workshop that will forever change how you view taking portraits of people. The only things you will need are a camera, digital or film, and a willingness to be vulnerable in the midst of strangers. Nothing more.
